The Times of Services for Passion Week and on Easter Day 2008
Every Sunday Divine Liturgy is celebrated in our Cathedral at 10:30 a.m.
WEDNESDAY APRIL 23, GREAT WEDNESDAY. Sacrament of Holy Unction at 7:00 p.m. Local Serbian priests will officiate the Service. On the end of the Service faithful will be anointed by consecrated oil and they will be able to take the oil home.
THURSDAY APRIL 24, GREAT THURSDAY. Divine Liturgy and Communion of the faithful at 10:00 a.m.
EVENING: Great Vigil. The reading of 12 Passion Gospels at 7:00 p.m. These Gospels are describing the betrayal, capturing, judging and suffering of our Lord. We invite the faithful to take part in this sacred Services which are very important for our spiritual upbringing and understanding what our Lord undertook for us and for our salvation.
FRIDAY APRIL 25, GREAT FRIDAY. Reading of Royal Hours at 10:00 a.m.
EVENING: Burial of the Lord and Lamentations of the Mother of God at 7:00 p.m.
SATURDAY APRIL 26, GREAT SATURDAY. Divine Liturgy and Communion of the faithful at 10:00 a.m.
EVENING Resurrection Matins at 8:00 p.m.
SUNDAY APRIL 27, EASTER DAY. Divine Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. The faithful who during the fasting season prepared themselves by the means of fasting, prayer and good deeds to receive Holy Communion on Easter Day are asked to come to Church for Holy Confession at 9:30 a.m. Please adhere to this invitation so our Feastal Service is not interrupted and prolonged by Confessing people during the Service. Feastal Lunch will be served after the Services in the Church Hall.
Monday 28, and Tuesday 29, of April we will serve Morning Matins at 10:00 a.m.
