Оn Sunday, September 11, 2016, after the Divine Liturgy (in a conference room adjacent to the church at the Episcopal Seminary), Dr. Bogdan Lubardić will hold a lecture titled “Nikola Tesla and Serbian Orthodox Church: Spiritual Reflections on Ties and Legacy”. Dr. Lubardić’s is an assistant professor of Philosophy at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Orthodox Theology. His academic research interests include reflection on the relation of philosophy and Christian theology; reflection on the reception process of philosophical concepts; case study work in the history of religious philosophy and theology; ideas and models of thought in Church doctrine; and philosophical reflection on the epistemological status of religious propositions.
Dr. Lubardić’s publications include Philosophy of Faith: Lev Shestov and the Apophatic Deconstruction of Reason (2010), Justin Popović and Russia: The Ways of Reception of Russian Philosophy and Theology (2009); and Nikolai Berdyaev: Between the Ungrund and the Father (2003). He is member of the International Commission for Anglican-Orthodox Theological Dialogue and of the Serbian Philosophical Society.
